Types Of Flat Panel Tv MountsFlat screen TV's are becoming very popular for many consumers in the market for a new TV because they are becoming increasingly more affordable. Most people that buy flat screens choose to use flat panel Tv mounts to attach the TV to the wall for space efficiency and also because it looks very nice. There are primarily four different types of Flat Panel Tv Mounts: fixed mounts, tilt mounts, swivel mounts, and articulating mounts. Fixed TV mounts attach the TV to the wall in a manner that restricts the TV from moving in any way. The TV simply stays in one position once mounted. The fixed mount is the most basic version of a TV mount and is also the most affordable type of mount. This is a great idea for those who like to keep it simple and also save money at the same time. The only major sacrifice is flexibility, but for some, flexibility may be able to be overlooked. The next step up from a fixed wall mount is the Tilted TV mount. This mount is not much more complex than a fixed mount, but allows for the TV to be tilted, which offers a few great added benefits. Being able to tilt the TV helps get rid of TV glares that could not otherwise be corrected on a fixed mount. The tilted mount also helps accommodate different seated positions, so if you like laying on the floor and watching TV, you can tilt the screen downward to help you view the TV better. The best part about the tilted mount is that it is generally not much more expensive than the fixed wall mount. One of the best types of Flat Panel Tv Mounts is the swivel mount. This allows the TV to swivel to the left or right and also adjust the tilt and angle. One feature that might bother some people is the fact that due to the swivel feature, the mount has the TV sit further away from the wall and makes it stick out a bit. If that does not bother you, then this is a great mount to use. Along the same lines is the articulating wall mount, which adds the benefit of tilting left and right, which is not a feature in any of the previous types of mounts. This is a huge benefit for those who sit in the corner of the room. This is the most expensive type of mount due to all the great features, but is well worth the investment.
